The task for 3055 Orchard was to provide the client with two vastly different concepts for an outdoor amenity area adjacent to a proposed break room. HMH Landscape Architecture came up with the concept shown in the 3D model images above and the client chose one of the concepts based on the amenities it provided for potential future tenants. Once the client chose a concept, construction documents were prepared and the project went through the City through their expedited STI submittal process. The site was quickly demolished and the improvements were constructed in roughly three months. The new amenity area consists of concrete landscape walls with LED lit reveals, a fire pit, synthetic turf ‘green wall’, concrete cornhole game, ipe wood fence, BBQ and built-in kegerator.
